Dilem is a Digital Health Master's Student. For her studies, she explored how technology is fundamentally reshaping our approach to diagnosing and treating diseases. She’s does her Master at Hasso Plattner Institute and loves ChatGPT like most of us.

She has some great insights on the present and future of AI, let's dive right in!

What's your job and how does it involve AI?

As a Digital Health Master's student with a keen interest in the intersection of AI and healthcare, my focus has recently been on the critical dialogue between Big Data and GDPR within the realm of medicine. I explored how technology is fundamentally reshaping our approach to diagnosing and treating diseases, emphasizing the role of big data in synthesizing vast amounts of information across various dimensions of what we define as a disease.

Which AI tool do you personally use the most?

Personally it's ChatGPT, very useful and different use cases

How much time do you approximately save daily by using AI tools?

I save 1 hour a day

Do you prefer: ChatGPT or Gemini?

ChatGPT

What area should AI enthusiasts keep an eye on in the near future?

Voice Assistants, Personalized AI in marketing, Humanoid robots used in different settings.

In my area: The competitive nature of technological advancements prompts me to wonder if this could trigger an international race in healthcare innovation akin to the ongoing AI race.

Any tips, tricks or hacks regarding the use of AI?

Be very open minded, be active and very curious. AI is developing pretty fast.

What AI tool should be invented for you?

One AI that is my clever personal assistant so that I can delegate task easily via voice, no need to use several AIs

Love or hate: Technology smarter than humans aka AGI?

Humans should be the creator and the 'decider' always, but AGI will be developed sooner or later

Do you believe AI will bring a bigger technological revolution than the internet?

It is on a similar level, yes, however, it will provide humans with more advanced capabilities that no technology was able to before.

Who'll make the race for spearheading AI in 10 years?
Google

Is AI more of a chance or a challenge for humanity?

Mustafa Suleyman's insights in his book, "The Coming Wave," resonate deeply with me. He predicts a future where AI is intricately woven into the fabric of our daily lives, managing everything from personal schedules to core governmental functions.

This outlook places us at the forefront of AI development, emphasizing the critical need for effective containment strategies. If not properly managed, the potential for AI to exceed our control and fall into the wrong hands is a real and present danger.

But overall, it's a chance. There are a vast amount of possibilities! We need to use them and first of all realize how much potential they can bring on a personal and global level.
