When searching for best AI presentation generators, you'll often come across Beautiful.AI. Not because it's such a good tool, but because it was one of the first presentation tools that integrated AI. I tested it for the first time around November 2023 and was not very impressed with its performance. It kept getting stuck, and the AI was basically down. Today, it has improved a bit. Why do I need a Beautiful AI alternative?

Simply because there are much better tools out there! Presentation makers that are cheaper, have much better designs and templates, and with much more advanced AI capabilities. In this blog I will introduce you to my favorite and, in my opinion, best presentation AI. Also, anything outside the enterprise level is not Beautiful.AI's forte, it is very much tailored to corporate companies. Their templates and fonts already give it away. The whole look and feel of the app and slide designs look more like PowerPoint than 2025. 4\. Gamma's free version on the other hand gives you 400 credits to play around with. As I mentioned before, I didn't manage to use them up yet.
5\. Beautiful.AI might call them smart slides, but they are not so smart after all. In the introduction video they show how to easily drag and drop elements and how the presentation software will realign everything. I was not even able to drag and drop anything. I'm not sure if the program was stuck or if the feature doesn't work properly.
6\. With Gamma I never experienced technical glitches during presentation creation or in general.
7\. The integrated AI for text and image generation is top-notch, whereas Beautiful's image gen looks like an older model.

8\. Gamma will add relevant pictures to my presentation automatically in its first draft, which saves so much time.
9\. Beautiful.AI's navigation is confusing. I was trying to take a screenshot of the image I had generated during my last session and only found it after searching around for 5 mins. But I wouldn't know how to get back there again.
10\. Gamma has analytics to track how far people viewed presentations and allows users to analyse site usage or where the audience dropped off. Would be great for Beautiful.AI actually, given that it's made for enterprises.

Conclusion about the Beautiful.AI alternative

If you work for a bank or the government, you might be able to get away with slide designs older than me. But assuming you have a modern mindset (after all, you are searching for alternative AI presentation tools) you'll want something fresher.
