Gamma Tips and Tricks Blog Post

TL;DR

After their re-brand in April 2025, I wanted to analyze Gamma once more because a new look often means new power under the hood. So was looking for some nice Gamma hacks and tricks, to make my presentations and slides quicker and easier. And boy, they really deserve the number one spot in our presentation maker comparison! They are just truly ahead of all competitors and this Gamma Hacks manual, will not make it any better. Let’s get started!

Create a Presentation From an URL

  1. Because I want to show you the Gamma hacks and tricks within one of their presentations, I’ve let Gamma build a presentation from my URL (www.aitoolssme.com). Which is a pretty darn good hack already. Especially because it works so well.
  2. Gamma took all the content including images from my website and turned them into a compact 8-page presentation. I like! Now I will use these slides to show you all the other Gamma hacks.

2. Embed Music Easily into Your Presentations

Now not everyone will want to have music within their presentation, but I for my part imagine how nice it would be if I could just influence to mood of the person watching my slide deck. If they were grooving to Beyonce while noticing that the quarterly KPIs were again not reached.

3. Translate Your Slides

I read about this feature many times before, now when I actually used it, I realised that there are actually 2 advantages to this: of course the translation itself. And second, the time it would take to copy and paste the other language in. Possibly making mistakes in the process if the language is not your own. Not a problem with Gamma Hack 3: just let the AI do it and be sure it will be flawless!

4. Turn Your Presentation into a Website

This is a real website inception moment: After creating a presentation from an URL, I’ve reversed the whole thing and have created a website now out of my presentation about my website. I’m slightly relieved that it’s just short of being as good as the original, but maybe I’m just biased. What’s crazy is, I have just clicked a few buttons, have now a completely new website and I’m not even on a paid plan with Gamma! This is pretty cool, I will now spend the rest of the afternoon thinking about what I want websites to be made of.

5. Just Embed Whatever You Like

Do you remember like 5 minutes ago when I was impressed about the spotify embed? Well, I had a look and wasn’t able to stop scrolling down the list of features and integrations after typing a / (slash) somewhere within the presentation. They even have an embed function with Miro, TikTok, Youtube etc.

6. Use ‘Nested Cards‘ to Get Deeper Into Certain Topics

Don’t want to distract your audience by adding too much text? No problem, just allow for users to actively click on nested cards and with that request more infos. They make your slides look neat and clean and let viewers decide on how deep they want to go. In this last video you can also see that Gamma has a built in analytics tool which tells you how many people viewed your presentation and until where. They also let you protect your slides by assigning a password. Soon this feature is also coming out for created websites. As you see, Gamma is pretty cool! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the makers from San Francisco are doing something very right.

Now you should be equipped with all the Gamma Hacks, tipps and tricks to create presentations in a breeze.
