The Sign-Up Struggle: Squarespace Review

I get frustrated every time I see someone try to sign up. It’s a long process for no good reason. Most people just want to pay and get started, but instead, they have to jump through hoops. In my experience, this makes people leave before they finish signing up. If you’re thinking about using Squarespace for selling courses or products, you should know about this.

When Squarespace Works

If you only need a simple one-page site, and you don’t care about having a shop or showing up in search results, then Squarespace can work for you. It’s easy to set up and looks nice enough for basic needs. But if you want to do more, like sell things or change the color of your buttons, it gets tricky.

For anyone who wants to sell products, have more control over design, or use new AI features, I’d suggest looking at Webflow instead. Squarespace just doesn’t give you the freedom you might want. I wish I had known this before I started building my own site.

So, that’s my honest Squarespace Review. It’s fine for simple sites, but if you want to do more, you’ll probably end up frustrated like me.
