Review from December 22nd, 2025
I should start by saying that I've been a fan of Artlist ever since it crossed my path the first time in early summer 2025 because it's just the perfect AI package for creators and filmmakers. They were among the first companies to solve the problem of switching tools and paying for multiple subscriptions. They packaged image, video and voice generators in one and added a huge music and stock footage library, all royalty-free. Offering their package with a modular pricing model is the cherry on top.
So I've been watching them closely, logging into my own artlist.io account regularly, because the platform lets me access the newest AI models right on the day of their launch. I've been using Artlist AI for various of my own video projects, mostly generating AI images and turning them into videos in the next step, because I find that workflow more efficient than generating a video right away.
So here I want to share my answers about the Artlist AI capabilities and Artlist AI models with you. Let's start off broad and dig deeper as we go.
Also, check out my Honest Artlist Review which dives deeper into the features themselves and how they worked for me.
Artlist AI FAQ
Who is Artlist AI for—and who should skip it?
Artlist is great for professional or rookie filmmakers because it offers an all-in-one solution for generative AI. It connects really well to editing suites like for example Premiere Pro via integration, allowing them to browse and license assets without leaving the timeline. Also, social media creators will appreciate the wide range of AI features Artlist offers, their platform consists of various AI video gen models, image models and AI voice overs.
Artlist doesn't have its own editing dashboard, so for beginners, it makes sense to download a free editing software like Davinci Resolve and connect it via the Artlist Hub plugin. That's basically the only caveat I found.
What is Artlist AI and how does it work?
Artlist is basically a toolbox with many
AI features (video, image, voice over, colour grading) plus a
library of existing material (music, video, images). Plus 50+ professional plugins (including color grading LUTs, transitions, effects, and audio tools).
Everything you need for creating a video.
The video clips can be stock footage or AI-generated by you, most likely a mix, because Artlist's library is super stylish, and with the text-to-video or image-to-video features, you can always access the latest AI models like Sora 2 Pro or Veo 3.1, plus many more.
The music library consists of 28,000 songs and 72,000 sound effects. This is what Artlist was famous for before the AI hype, so this is their homepage and expect nothing less than perfect in this area.
With the Artlist
Artboard feature, you can start off by adding a keyword and Artlist will assemble all footage that fits this topic. A real time saver and one of my favorite underdog features.
What can you create with Artlist AI?
You can create original content for images, videos and voiceovers. Add your creative assets to existing video and image from their library and create your unique final digital assets.
As mentioned above, my favorite way to create on Artlist is to start off by generating an image with e.g. Nano Banana Pro and in the next step using the image-to-video (also called start-frame feature).
What does Artlist's AI help content creators do faster?
Because they integrate models so quickly (on the day of release, creators worldwide can test AI models super quickly and determine if they fit their style.
Also, Artlist let's creators assemble footage faster with their Artboard feature. For this just enter a keyword and let Artlist AI assemble all the existing footage, now you can scan through it and add everything to your topic catalog aka Artboard. Artlist also has a templates which compared to Canva people are not bored of yet.
